This policy explains what information is processed when you use calcdistrict.com (“CalcDistrict”, “we”, “us”). We have designed the site to collect as little information as possible.
Summary
- Your calculator inputs stay in your browser. Calculations run on your device using JavaScript. The numbers you enter are not sent to our servers or stored by us.
- No accounts. You don't need to register or sign in.
- No tracking cookies. CalcDistrict does not set advertising or analytics cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless service, to count visits (see below), and we do not use advertising services.
- Hosting logs. Like any website, our hosting and security provider processes basic technical request data, described below.
Information processed when you visit
CalcDistrict is a static website delivered through Cloudflare's network. When your browser requests a page, Cloudflare necessarily processes technical information such as your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, your browser's user-agent string and the referring page. Cloudflare uses this information to deliver the site, protect it against abuse and attacks, and maintain performance. Cloudflare's processing is described in its own privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies in some circumstances (for example, to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated attacks). These are not used for advertising.
Information you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address, the content of your message and any attachments. We use this only to reply, investigate reported issues and improve the site. We keep correspondence only as long as needed for those purposes and do not sell it or use it for marketing.
Fonts, scripts and third parties
Fonts and our own scripts are served from our domain. The site does not load third-party advertising or social media scripts.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit, which calculators are used, and how quickly pages load. A small script from Cloudflare (static.cloudflareinsights.com) reports, for each page view: the page address, the referring page, the browser and device type, the approximate country, and page-load performance measurements.
According to Cloudflare, Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage and does not fingerprint visitors. We see only aggregated statistics; we cannot identify individual visitors, and the numbers you enter into calculators are never sent. Cloudflare's processing is described in its privacy policy.
Future changes: advertising
We may later display advertising to fund the site. Before it is enabled we will update this policy to name the providers, describe the data they collect and the cookies they use, and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before non-essential cookies are set.
Children
CalcDistrict is a general-audience website. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to its processing. Because we hold very little personal information (generally only emails you have sent us), the simplest way to exercise these rights is to contact us at contact@calcdistrict.com.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the “last updated” date above.
